BEST PRACTICES FOR PROJECT DELIVERY MANAGEMENT SEMICONDUCTOR FACILITIES

ABSTRACT
This research compares the CII methods in eight management focus areas vs. the practices in use by companies in the advanced technology facility construction sector. The eight management focus areas include materials management systems, concurrent engineering, contracting methods, quality and total quality management, constructability, avoiding quality deviations in design and construction, schedule reduction, and safety. The conclusions are drawn from a survey accomplished with companies in the advanced technology construction sector. From the results of the research and conclusions of the survey, a best practices guide is outlined.
